The Washington Babysitter Training course from the American Red Cross is designed those ages 11 to 15, and is delivered in a traditional classroom setting. However, it's important to note that none of our babysitting classes in Washington are intended for state-licensed child care providers, as our courses do not meet all of the state requirements for such certification. Designed for those ages 11 and older, our babysitter training courses take just a few short hours to complete, but can help make all the difference to the families you care for.Īt the Red Cross we provide those ages 11 and older with a comprehensive education in babysitting and child care best practices. All courses, once successfully completed, will give you access to a printable certificate that you can use to show potential employers and grow your business. There must be a minimum of 6 participants enrolled 48 hours in advance to run courses.The American Red Cross offers three types of Washington babysitting classes. (Both days are mandatory to receive your full certification) Students must be able to successfully compress the Manikins to become CPR certified. The cost is $189 (equipment and supplies included!) Students will learn the basics of caregiving, behavior management, decision making, child safety, recognizing emergencies, and become certified in first aid, CPR, and AED by the American Red Cross. This camp is a two day workshop for students ages 10-15 presented by our Red Cross certified staff. SUMMER Combined First Aid, CPR & Babysitters Training Sessions: Have a group of 5 or more? We will create a class just for you! *Participants must be able to compress the Manikins to be eligible to receive certification This training will focus on CPR, using an AED, choking, sudden illness emergencies, cardiac emergencies, and more! Our Red Cross certified staff will lead the students through recognizing an emergency to providing care for life threatening illness. The Red Cross American Allstars Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification will provide adults and youth with the skills necessary to safely and responsibly respond to emergencies. Includes Red Cross Babysitter’s Handbook! Trainees will also learn about basic first aid, such as hand washing, choking, and caring for minor injuries. This training will help participants to develop an understanding of behavior, create an environment that is fun and safe, keep themselves and others safe when babysitting, and build problem solving skills that will assist in making responsible and appropriate decisions. These courses are offered through American Allstars and held in Allstars Ninja Academy (located on the NORTH side of building, off Oakley Park Rd.)
